An exclamation mark in the middle of your band's name is obviously the way forward. Hot on the heels of The Go! Team come Las Vegas' Panic! At The Disco, who if nothing else deserve massive amounts of kudos for that excellent name.

They may come from the same city as The Killers, but the 80s stylings are a lot less obvious with this four-piece. The download-only I Write Sins Not Tragedies is a belting guitar rock song which skedaddles along at a furious pace while still remembering to include a melody that your postman will feel comfortable whistling. Admittedly, it is a bit 'emo'-ish, but you don't have to wear black masacra to appreciate it.

Lead singer Brandon Urie (are all lead singers from Vegas called Brandon?) sings some attention grabbing lyrics set at a wedding ("it's much better to face these kinds of things, with a sense of poise and rationality") and it's pretty obvious why Panic! At The Disco are the latest band to ride the myspace.com wave of success. Great stuff from a band you'll find hard to avoid during the coming year.
