Good grief. Are any human beings actually releasing records this Christmas? There's the inevitable Crazy Frog getting in on the act, Santa himself has jumped on the bandwagon to Amarillo and now comes the AA's own Patrolman Pete.
This was originally intended to accompany a new series of children's books starring the Patrolman, but has proved so popular it's being tipped as a potential Christmas number one. It's twee, unbearable cutesy and makes Westlife sound like Motorhead. If, after two listens, you've not resisted the urge to frisbee the disc out of the window, then you're a better person than I am.
Of course, if you have a child under the age of two years old, then it may satisfy them for a while. Otherwise, please don't think you're being witty or 'ironic' by buying this - it could turn into the new Mr Blobby, and nobody wants that...surely?
