Pendulum have become one of the biggest names on the Drum n Bass circuit in seemingly no time at all. They released the monster tune Vault, signed to Adam F's label and broke into the album chart with their debut Hold Your Colour.

Slam is a wickedly crafty tune; it's D'n'B but not as you might know it. Pendulum have found a human edge to their sound that is likely to find them sitting easy with people whose only forays into dance is Basement Jaxx and The Chemical Brothers. Midway through the track a confused American voice asks; "Is this bass really strong enough?" - Yes. Yes it is. All the breaks are in the right places, building to the point where even the miserable git standing in the corner who never dances will have to cut loose and release the pressure. This tune is an absolute monster.

Slam is already creating a huge response in clubland and there is little doubt that Pendulum will find themselves surfing on the back of a massive crossover success with this single.
