It's a big week for Pete and the Pirates, but you can't imagine them doing anything other than taking it in their stride, that just wouldn’t be, well... Pop.

The Pirates have stuck with inspirational little London label Stolen Recordings for their debut album which is released next week, an album produced by Killers producer Gareth Parton, and as the big time beckons they still sound absolutely fantastic.

Mr Understanding is one of the eleven songs that jump from the LP and make your hairs stand on end in empathy, guitars fluttering in laid-back wonder, and Tom Sanders underplayed lines making the coolest pathways to the soul. It's going to be such a thrill seeing them light up the mainstream.
