Phrizzm is Brendan Dellandrea, and the Toronto producer shows on this EP he certainly knows his way around a sequencing kit.The twenty-five minutes divide into 7 sections, representing a sound investment that's music to the ears of lovers of early Orb and Future Sound Of London music.

You get the picture - brief melodic loops, fractured beats, weird and wonderful sound effects that flit in and out - all present and correct. Additionally Dellandrea has a fondness for rich, mellow chord sequences and often ups the momentum with a sudden burst of lower end funk which never quite takes hold.

It's a fascinating, absorbing listen, and a soothing one at that - tried and tested morning after material!
