Watch out, there's another slick on the way. "The Pink G.R.Ease are going to make you sweat" is the hoarse refrain in the follow-up to stunning single Fever, but somehow the fact that they have to tell us means it might not happen automatically...

There's a very promising funky intro - heavy drums, dirty sax - and Rory Lewarne quickly goes into tortured vocals. "Call the fire engine / 'cos I think somebody's arse is going to get lit up..." Choruses are interspersed with distorted lyrics and backing squeals, presumably from the band's "Greasettes".

Not as immediately impressive as Fever but it does grow, especially when you turn the volume right up. They may not be subtle, but if you find Franz Ferdinand just a little too safe you might find Pink Grease a lot of fun.
