Before you recoil in horror, this is not a cover of the Simply Red smoothie. It's the sometime Ladytron collaborator, also known in Ninja circles as Super Numeri, adding a second string to his bow under the Pop Levi alias.

It's a vibrant piece of pop music, driven by electric beats resembling the sounds of a pinball machine, with strong guitars and a catchphrase that's, well, catchy. The off beat rhythms suggest a dabbling in culture further east than Liverpool, where Levi's current group were recruited.

The Pink Enemy mix offers a glimpse of a potential to move in more elite electro circles, while B-side Love You Straight offers a view of their softer side. With pop sensibilities all intact, Pop Levi are a band to keep an eye on.
