For some, the only thing that will have them gravitating towards this single is the inclusion of The Qemists guest vocalist. Seeing just what Mike Patton will do next is always an interesting pursuit. Having made his name with Faith No More, he's also won the hearts of many with his high school band Mr Bungle as well as his latest projects Fantomas and Tomahawk. He never seems to sit still, and has one of the most agile voices in the business - you need only check his Adult Themes For Voice album to see how far he can push himself.

Here we find him embellishing The Qemists latest release, and for once, it would seem that vocally Mr Patton has taken a few steps backwards. This is about as close in sound to the bratty exuberance of his early Faith No More days as he been for several years, which is a pleasant surprise and not unwelcome at all.

But this isn't just about Patton of course, this is after all a single by The Qemists, and a damn fine one at that. Aligning themselves to a sound similar to the one Pendulum have recently been exploring, The Qemists melding of Drum & Bass to rock guitars should pay massive dividends. You're as likely to bang your head to this as throw your hands in the air and dance like you probably shouldn't. With bass strong enough to blow your car doors off and guitars more suited to Download festival, this is a damn near perfect single that gloriously avoids genre boundaries. If Faith No More were still around, they'd probably have a few songs like this on their new album.
