I Can See A Rainbow is a tinkly, summery affair, rippling electronic scales and child-like vocals. The Rainbow Family don't do things by halves, it seems, offering six tracks on their latest single as from their album This Is Not A Circular.

Their music is a sophisticated tissue of elements designed to suggest simplicity, using multiple overlaid vocals to create a joyful sound similar to that of the Polyphonic Spree.

If you think five remixes on one single is excessive, just wait until you access the download only house remixes promised by the band.

A Glasgae special, the Rainbow Family have turned to the talents of underground mixer Droido to provide a stripped down, percussion heavy version of their summery original.

This is followed by a further, even sparser dub version in which the sampled vocals echo surreally, as well as Gordon Blackbeard who's been producing bootleg mix ups of tracks by Groove Armada and Jamiroquai and messes with the rhythms in his version to great effect.

Softly Softly, doesn't bring much to the party, but the fifth, alternative mix, layers whispery vocals from the theme to the Godfather over crisp drumming and synth riffs.
