This Wigan-based lot have been gigging a fair bit around the north-west of England, particularly in Manchester and Liverpool. As a consequence of their hard work, they release this excellent debut single.

The five-piece formed in the autumn of 2003 and have spent some time perfecting their sound with regular live jaunts. Two Stripe Trainers is a polished effort with subtle vocals and a taut, infectious rhythm. It's radio friendly - but it in a good way - has no inhibitions and appears relaxed. B-side Taking Your Best Mate's Girl To The Pictures is exactly what the title suggests - a cheeky pop song that is great fun. There is a bit of '70s David Bowie to their sound and a typical frivolous English humour, which makes them even more likeable.

They seem to have spent less time eating pies and cheering on the Wigan football team and more time concentrating on the music. It's honestly good stuff.
