This latest single from the London 4-piece is taken from their critically acclaimed LP Daylight In The Darkroom, and it's a striking piece of melancholia straight from the darker end of the indie-spectrum.

If you're expecting fluffy guitar pop then think again, as Nick Bradford's vocals are definitely more along the lines of Nick Cave, and the recent description of them as the missing link between Echo & The Bunnymen and Tindersticks seems to hit the nail right on the head.

The tune itself is one of those tracks that's of the here and now, but exudes that timeless quality that speaks volumes. It oozes intelligence and style, without it lessening the impact of that quintessential serrated guitar sound.

They've already got themselves quite a reputation, and tracks like this can only reinforce it. This is the band which managed to release two good albums in one year for Heaven's sake. Get onto the bandwagon now, because fairly soon it'll be creaking under the weight.
