Yes, it's another band mixing their synths with their guitars and seeing what crops up. Before you lose interest though, muttering "what have The Bravery and The Killers done?", stop and listen to Sanctuary as you'll find a rather thrilling song there.

Okay, Bloc Party may well be consulting their lawyers on hearing this, and lead singer James Summer obviously has a well thumbed copy of How To Sing The Mark E Smith Way at home, but redcarsgofaster, if you ignore the contrived 'look ma, no space bar' name, have produced an excellent debut. The intro builds gradually until exploding with a spiralling mix of guitars which don't let up until the song's conclusion. "I'll try and hurt this girl, just because I know I can" yelps Summer, with enough venom in his voice to convince you.

Back up track Without Measure is equally exhilarating and suggests that redcarsgofaster could well be up there with fellow Leicester band Kasabian pretty soon. In fact, if all their records are as good as this, they'll be eclipsing them.
