A far cry from laidback debut single Fed Up, 24-year old Londoner Remi Nicole hits out with a gutsy effort at a summer anthem.
With horns blasting, strings adding texture and even a big band joining in, she nicely conveys this country's change in mood when the sun comes out as "it's still light at night, and in the pubs there are no fights". Building to a strong chorus that you can imagine going down well with happy, rowdy end-of-night singers, it's pretty successful all round.
Well removed from the quirky output of other current London female singers, Nicole offers a more conventional indie-pop product. This track is a statement of her ambition and proves that she means business. But ultimately it's a joyous celebration of Britain and summer, so get outside 'cos it's summertime don't you know. Unless it's raining of course.
