Ireland's Republic of Loose are shaping up to be one of those trendy bands who everyone's going to clamour over. The press have already dubbed them the Irish OutKast/Wu Tang Clan which in itself sounds more intriguing than a van load of Agatha Christies. Break! is an interesting enough taster for the UK release of their Aaagh! LP, but it's one of those tracks which looks set to divide opinion. You'll either find this charmingly messy or just plain irritating. It's difficult to tell where to set up camp.

On one hand there's a lot of Pharrell Williams in this track, on the other hand there's more than a hint of cheesy euro-pop too. The result is NERD's She Wants To Move colliding with Aqua.

The band has myriad members so there's plenty of energy here, but it all feels unfocused. Break! is a hyperactive child of track- sometimes catchy and endearing, sometimes just plain annoying. This is mostly due to someone shouting all the way through it in a stupid 'C'mon Barbie let's go party!' squawk.

The first time I played this I really hated it, and it's grown on me since and a look at their MySpace shows they've got much better tracks in their cannon. Break! needs a little more polish and structure- It's just too loose for me.
