There are three of them. They come from Wakefield, Yorkshire. Their debut album's suggestive title is C'Mon Chameleon. Their number does not include George O'Dowd. They are The Research.

Mini-keyed Yamaha keyboard chords parp along with exultant cheap percussion, and duetting vocals - the female parts at least - recall Kirsty MacColl. There's a pleasingly homespun quality to this music - and it's always good to see a loyal old keyboard being loved.

Keep the winter blues away that little bit longer then with this light, optimistic, summery and exuberant little ditty.
