Reuben - Blamethrower

Reuben have been tipped as one of the big hopes of UK metal for some time now, and their debut album Racecar Is Racecar Backwards garnered them plenty of fans and a Kerrang award nomination.

Blamethrower is the download-only taster from their forthcoming album and is sure to keep the angst-ridden hooded-top wearing hoardes happy. A mightily grinding guitar riff introduces the song before lead singer Jamie Lenman tells us that "no, I don't feel so f*cking good". You can almost smell the moshpit.

It does threaten to derail halfway through with an ill-advised spoken-word passage, but Lenman soon reverts to the screaming that he does best. If you're not a rock fan, this will more than likely give you a bit of a headache, but there's no denying that Reuben do what they do very well indeed.

This is a download-only release
