Great things have been predicted for this band, just off the back of a UK tour, and Stuck In My Throat goes some way to justifying the hype. The title track pits a wall of guitars against singer Jamie Lenman's versatile voice - this guy can go from a snarl to a whisper at the click of a finger.

Flipside, Doll Fin is pretty dark, grungy stuff, as the dialogue between voice and guitar goes - "If I wanted to I could break you, but I don't want to, so I will let you suffer!" With a screech on "suffer" of course. Harmonies and lyrics suggest Seattle, bass heavy and whacked up to eleven.

Scared Of The Police, recorded live on XFM, suffers from a curious balance that obscures the vocal a bit, but this shouldn't detract from the overall impact of a strong single release.
