The mark of a good repertoire is, surely, that by the time the third single from the album comes along, you're not yet sick of it.

So it is with Reverend And The Makers' Open Your Window, on which Jon McClure and his band come over sounding more like a cynical Northern Duran Duran than ever, mixing indie funk with disco bass lines that shouldn't need to ask twice before they get you to follow them onto the dancefloor.

Choose between the darker Paris At Night and the faster, more Pulp-tinged, guitar frenzy of Dear Lydia for your B-sides. Both are worth the effort and give an indication of McClure's talent. A man who can throw songs like these away as fillers is a man whose music you need to listen to.
