Rihanna and Ne-Yo are in love, or so they would have you believe on this slick RnB duet. And guess what, loving isn't easy for this pair.
Sometimes she makes him angry and he's upset, but then she kisses him and he forgets. Oh and she gets pissed off that he takes advantage of the fact that she loves him "beyond the reason why". Which must be hard. And do you know what, they both hate the fact that they love each other so. This is a shame, because no one in this world knows the other the way they each do. So until the spell breaks, they'll just have to stay together. Poor loves.
But even though their sentiments are delivered with all the conviction of a fast-ticket machine instructing you to remove your credit card, I am glad they have found each other. The writer of this trite and predictable song and the person who chooses to lend their tawdry nasal warbling it surely deserve each other. This third single from Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad album, following on from the infectiousness of Umbrella and breathless sludgy joy of Shut up And Drive, is a bit of a let down.
