Robert Post has taken an interesting route into the music business. A series of dead end jobs in a small Norwegian village came to an end when he happened to be playing his demo CD in the taxi he was driving and his passenger was an A&R man from a major label.

Before you could say "Jack Frost" he was signed to the same management as Dido and Avril Lavigne. Now this is either pure fiction or the A&R guy must have taken leave of his senses. Jet lag maybe, or frozen hearing? Why? Well this is beyond bland. It makes James Blunt sound like Babyshambles.

The guitars are so polite they would open the door for you in a restaurant. Post's voice is so lacking in depth that it drowns beneath the bombastic strings. This is coffee table music of the worse kind, fit only to be played in the lift in Ikea on bank holidays.

There may be a fantastic song hidden below the breathtakingly ham-fisted production, but I haven't got the time to find it and I am sure that you don't either.
