The undisputed king of drum and bass Roni Size is back. Having spent the past few years touring, and collaborating with other musical giants including Cypress Hill and Method Man, the forthcoming album Return To V is hotly anticipated.
For the uninitiated, all drum and bass sounds the same, and to be fair the sound tends to be very generic. What separates the best from the rest is the use of insane bass lines and beats. Are these present on Out Of Breath? They certainly are, not to mention a cameo appearance from the human beatbox that is Rahzel.
While the likes of Dillinja are rising to fame, Roni Size knows fine and well that he can come straight back in the game and claim his place on the throne. Pill-heads around the world will love it but for the more refined, check out Bump 'n' Grind featuring Sweetpea which has a more hip-hop crossover feel, as well as a brilliant bass line.
