Or Music Sounds Better with You part 2. I had really set out with all intention of hating this record - irrational and unfair perhaps, but hey, that's life. Unfortunately things didn't quite work out as planned. As the first bar of glistening disco house pumped out of my speakers, with its sun kissed guitar, thumping bass drum and Oliver Cheatham's plaintive soulful vocal it did its evil work on me and I was soon bouncing away in my bedroom.
It's a gorgeous summer record, completely ripping off Daft Punk, but none the worse for it. There are the obligatory half a dozen mixes - JJ's Dub Edit is probably the best of the bunch, making the song sound even more like Stardust. Quite some achievement.
Whether this will go down well whilst we are locked in a typically miserable British winter remains to be seen. If not, expect to see it do the rounds again in August, when we return sun-sated from our holidays.
