Sam La More, or Sam Littlemore as his friends call him, is a 27-year-old Australian currently being lauded by the likes of Judge Jules and Seb Fontaine and looks set to become a pretty big name in dance circles pretty soon.
Takin' Hold is reminiscent of Roger Sanchez's Another Chance, with its deep, soulful beats, repetitive vocal and overall uplifting feel. The only criticism that could be made is that it's a bit short, clocking in as it does at just under three minutes. However, some crafty remixer has probably already addressed that problem.
A bit too early to be a feel good hit of the Summer, but expect plenty more from Sam in the months to come.
