Time was when only the winner of The X Factor would fall into Simon Cowell's clutches, with the runner ups free to disappear back into obscurity. Not so these days, with the brother and sister duo Same Difference signed to the Syco empire and releasing their debut single.
If you watched last year's series of ITV's talent show, you'll be hard pressed to forget the perma-grinning Sarah and Sean Smith. They were as cheesy as could be, and that's not changed in the slightest. We R One is a big, upbeat pop number which wouldn't be out of place in the Eurovision Song Contest - full of positive lyrics about following dreams, reaching for the sun and, erm, chasing devils on the run.
It is, really, pretty horrible, but no more horrible than the likes of High School Musical which has proven so inexplicably popular. It certainly won't win any awards for cool, and won't be everybody's cup of tea, but if you're still mourning the death of Steps, then this could fill the gap.
