Sharam Jey's pedigree in dance music is considerable. If you haven't yet heard of him there's no doubt you'll be familiar with some of his work; remixes of Energy 52's Café Del Mar fronting an impressive list of reworkings that also include Faithless, No Doubt and Moby. Since forming his own King Kong label Jey has linked up with Darren Emerson's Underwater imprint.

Having established himself as a reliable source of quality house music from the turntable, Jey's career as a solo artist is about to get a massive shot in the arm with 4 Da Loverz. Built on a big-boned bass riff, it fits perfectly into Underwater's house output, a quality party tune with good vocals and a more than solid beat.

For a cousin, think the excellent Flashdance by Deep Dish, and the kinship doesn't end there - Jey is also of Iranian birth, moving to Germany but more than happy to globetrot and promote his sound. With this brilliant slice of summer house music and an album of the same name imminent, it looks like he'll have plenty to shout about.
