The first question is obvious. Is it very loud? Yes, in a Swedish pop kind of way - that is to say, like the Wannadies with added distortion. Even more critically, is it any good?

Again, in the affirmative. Starting like a sped-up track from U2's Joshua Tree album, Very Loud builds inexorably to a big, uplifting chorus. Being Swedish it's reasonable to expect a good tune, which they duly provide with the bonus of a hummable guitar riff over the top.

Listen to the chorus lyrics, however, and appearances are deceptive, Adam Olenius singing; "Little by little, you're gonna hear me cry." Comparisons with the Wannadies prove useful though, since this picks up where their melodic pop/rock left off, and has a promising sense of stature. Nor do the band take themselves at all seriously, as the amusing biography on their website indicates.
