A few references to old school house music in The Party - a repetitive, insistent electro-techno groove that steadily turns up the gas with its exhortation to go mad. Very simple, pretty effective but a bit too much of a one trick pony.

The remix fares better, with more of a bass hook to latch on to, and it builds in much the same way as the original.

The Party is one of those tracks that definitely sounds better in a club than on a home stereo (the original clichéd dance music review!) - and it's a fair bet you'll hit the floor to this one, but certainly not at the local wine lodge.
