A song entitled Shut Up is either going to get people singing along to it in a "Yeah! F**k you!" fashion or will encourage cynics to yell "Shut up!" right back, as was done to Kelly Osbourne.

Luckily Simple Plan's passion and honesty means that they don't fall into the latter category. Lyrics like: "You're always there to point out mistakes and shove them in my face," combined with happy-go-lucky punk rock ensure the bands strong fan base have something to relate to as well as listen to.

Simple Plan are yet another of the preppy pop punk bands that America have to offer but who said that's a bad thing? Their album's platinum status and world wide acknowledgement would suggest that it isn't.
