Being a sometime fan of solid and honest music-makers Six By Seven the last person to whom I would have expected to compare their latest offering would be Euro-pap 's one hit wonder DJ Otzi. But there it is: in the refrain of Ready For You Now you can hardly fail but notice the "Hey-ay" sway popularised in the latter's "Hey Baby." Shame.
Death In Vegas's Tim Holmes produced She Didn't Say and Pretty Baby, also on the single, and shows a clear shift in sound for the band with live and dirty riffs and an obvious nod in the direction of bands like Loop and Spacemen 3.
It's a welcome return for the newly streamlined trio (from five); sadly not a return to the riotously rocky form of earlier years.
