Getting on for, ooh, nigh on 20 years and DJ Pierre is still living out his Pfantasy (sic) world of acid-y grooves. This time he's got his Wild Pitch mitts on Nic Fanciullo and Andy Chatterley's Skylark malarkey That's More Like It.
That's More Like It has the appropriate filtered shenanigans and lysergic build-ups that the dancefloor has been accustomed to expect from House over the last few years, but I can't help wanting something more. The vocal snatches chanting "that's more like it" are all in their rightful places, and Fanciulli's re-edit re-edits pretty much unobtrusively - and there's the rub.
Its all fine and dandy, but this ain't the tune that's gonna be on your mind as one of your nite out's big moments. It's a nice link piece for DJ sets, but a bit more innovation would actually be more like it.
