Smashing Pumpkins' reunion seems to have been met with a collective shrug of either indifference or, in the case of Trent Reznor, outright loathing. While Zeitgeist was admittedly rather disappointing, it did have a fair few killer songs, of which this is one of the best.
It's exactly as you'd expect a Pumpkins record to sound - huge, coruscating 'wall of sound' type guitars, Jimmy Chamberlain's typically excellent drumming and Billy Corgan's 'love it or hate it' whiney voice. Behind the noise, there's also a wistful air about the song - always what Corgan did at his very best.
They may never recreate the glory days of Gish or Siamese Dream, but Corgan and Chamberlain are continuing the Pumpkins name with distinction.
