There's bad, there's very bad, there's Embrace and then there's this record. German music does tend to have a tendency to be slightly more experimental, but this really does take the biscuit. Still, at least it has the irony value of being recorded at a studio called Antitune.

They seem to be aiming at something deep and enigmatic, Mr V presumably being a play on the mystery, although the actual effect is best described as unsettling to the point of making your skin crawl.

The actual backing isn't bad with a good trance beat going on, but the real problem is the vocals. They really needed to be sung by an alto and the vocalist, who admittedly bears more than passing resemblance to Julie Christie, is more a soprano. Although where this would have made it any more tolerable is highly unlikely.

It's nice to see musicians pushing the boundaries, but some are there for a very good reason. Unless you fancy having an aural endurance test steer well clear of this one.
