This new offering from one half of former disco outfit Captain Comatose has been one of the most eagerly awaited releases of its genre this year. Taken from the forthcoming Love Pollution, it's a heady mixture of house, soul and funk with a disco twist.

Quite deservingly, most of the attention has been given to the Konrad Black mix and Honeymoon's Overdose featuring soul lethario Jamie Lidell. The former is a wonderfully understated reworking, whilst the latter boosts up the drums while sounding like it's been recorded in the middle of Swiss valley. Coupled with the obligatory plinks, whirrs and clicks from the original they go a long way towards covering the fact that the main vocal can get distinctly grating.

That said, it's great to hear a track like this that actually has any form of meaningful vocals and we can only hope it's a sign of things to come. It's a welcome asset to the dance scene and, even though it's destined for chart oblivion, expect it to be a stalwart on this season's club compilations.
