The march of the Yorkshiremen continues unabated. This time, instead of Sheffield, Leeds spawns a bunch of likely lads (plus one lassie) with sweet indie songs.
Richard and Stephanie Green share vocal duties in the manner of Deacon Blue. Richard's voice comes across as a cross between Suede's Brett Anderson and Tinky Winky (erm... he's a Telletubby).
The instrumentation is disjointed and full of curious twists and turns, changing rhythms and all manner of oddness. It sounds like very early Pulp without the tunes, development or purpose. Which isn't to say it's all bad - it's just that they need someone to order their thoughts for them. A producer, by choice.
