Ex-Busted star James Bourne must've had a rough time at high school. Just like so many of Busted's hits, this song is the dream of an unpopular kid at school who can't get a girlfriend and probably gets his lunch money stolen and his glasses trodden on by bullies. He got a "ticket outta loserville" when he got dared to ask a girl out and she actually said "yes". Of course, it all backfires in the end and the geeky kid gets dumped and heads back to "loserville".

Yes, it's cringeworthy, but it sells. If Bourne isn't already a millionaire, he's well on his way there with such a talent for writing cheesy punk pop that prepubescent kids can feel an affinity with. He might have given his new band the worst name in the history of the world (it's a film quote, apparently), but with a song as catchy and fun as this they're sure to be around for a while, making indie snobs' skin crawl.

Even bouncier than Busted's bounciest moments, and with a heavier dose of that Green Day punk-pop sound (in fact, this could quite easily be a Bowling For Soup track if you didn't know who it was), this is perfect chart fodder and it's going to get stuck in your head whether you like it or not. He might not be revolutionising music, but Bourne knows a catchy tune when he writes one, and this is a fine example of precisely that. And so here we are: your new favourite guilty pleasure.
