This is the title track from the debut EP by the Southern Siberian-based brother/sister combo who seem to be the current darlings of MySpace and the NME. They claim guitar bands like Oasis and The Verve as influences, and the marketing bumpf touts a comparison with My Bloody Valentine.

All if this makes the fact that they sound like Snow Patrol after a personality bypass and a coat of magnolia paint even more of a puzzle. The vocals are fine and the guitars have the jangly quality that seems to be de rigeur at the moment. It starts off promisingly enough, but then peters out into mediocrity depressingly quickly. There's simply nothing there to grab your attention.

Noel Gallagher may be quite keen on them, and there's certainly some novelty mileage in being from the backend of Russia, but to make an impact they'll need more going for them than simply being inoffensive background music for a coffee shop. They may have the sun in their pocket, but you're unlikely to end up with this on your iPod.
