The fantastically-named Robin Proper-Sheppard used to front The God Machine, but these days spends his time at the head of Sophia, a slightly less fantastically-named group.

Whatever the moniker, the focus is certainly on the boy Sheppard. Unfortunately for him, Oh My Love has been called "laboured", and there is nothing here to make that label look unfair. The music is relatively plain and uninspiring, and the vocals sail far too close to whingeing for comfort.

It's not terrible, however, and the chorus has its good points in a New Order kind of way. Quasi-angry ballads, however, have been done a lot better than this: Sophia really ought to stop sitting on the musical fence if they're going to make any kind of impact.
