There's something grimly predictable about the radio edit of Kinda New. For all its electro house posturings, the source material is what drives the tune - and that's the commonly used "we all live and die" sample.
Hang in for the remixes, mind, for Tiefschwarz clearly know what they're doing with a sharp edit that preys on the electro possibilities of the tune, explored further in a wonderful dub with slap bass. Paul Woolford brings rim shots to the dancefloor and carefully builds up the vocals, then Simmons & Christopher integrate higher tempo house to good effect.
Pretty much what you'd expect from the Ministry, this - commercial but also likely to do damage where more underground clubbers into their electro house are concerned.
