Sadly not a reworking of the classic Crystals song He Hit Me (And It Felt Like A Kiss), this is a bit of a 'back to basics' approach for Jason Pierce.

Gone is the ethereal, gospel loveliness of the last album and the unsettling angst of Ladies And Gentlemen. In its place are driving guitars, sneering vocals and an adrenaline rush of a melody.

A terrific change of direction then, and more proof, if it were needed, that Spiritualized remain one of Britain's most vital bands.
