Three years ago Spooks released Karma Hotel, the follow up to the massively successful Things I've Seen. To be fair, their disappearance didn't really leave anyone with a sense that a void needed to be filled. In those three years hip-hop has become one of the most popular genres in the UK.

One could forgive Spooks for making the effort to get back in the game. But one could also be forgiven for not noticing the release of Faster Than You Know last September, which failed to raise any eyebrows. Change is a very nice track with a tinge of the revolutionary spoken-word-type jargon that some people like.

Unfortunately it all manifests itself as what could only be described as Black Eyed Peas, pre-spectacular reinvention. A little hint of laid back guitars is probably the track's only saving grace, redeeming it from the second rate hip-hop that is in evidence on the remix. This one will probably just slip away into the same obscurity from which the album Change is taken.
