This is about as indie as it gets. This is the kind of thing that you would have happened across on a cold night huddled under the covers while John Peel introduced you to yet another band that meant you had to go out the next day and spend hours tracking down their singles. Had he played Allison Blaire on such a night, somehow your bed would have seemed infinitely more warm, more comfortable, and almost womb like. You'd have probably considered sending the band a letter in an envelope full of glitter and little silver stars.
Everything about this single is lo-fi, mellow and laid back, with the notable exception of some punchy drumming. The guitars would appear to have been strummed in an entirely apathetic manner while the boy/girl vocals are so lazily delivered they almost lull you into a coma.
This kind of thing may well leave many cold, but if the lo-fi likes of Tiger, Marine Research or Sebadoh push your buttons, then you could well fall in love with this band. Where did I put my glitter?
