Stacie Orrico may still be relatively unknown on these shores (at least compared to Britney), but if she keeps bringing out singles like this one it will be only a matter of time before she really cracks the UK market. More Than Life is a lively, catchy tune, with a motto that taps into teen angst everywhere.
Nonetheless, with Stacie's Christian credentials, you know when she sings of wanting more than "just any temporary high" she is truly searching for something that will satisfy.
The depth and maturity of the singing (like All Saints' Shaznay in the verses, moulding somehow seamlessly into Avril Lavigne-style attitude in the chorus), coupled with interesting use of dynamics and a classic final chorus key change, make this much better than the average pop song, and should be rewarded.
