The Stands return for their "difficult" second album with the same classic rock influences - Rolling Stones, T-Rex, Las - replete with a Californian suntan.

Having decamped to Los Angeles to record with Beck producer Tom Rothrock, the band hoped to distance themselves from the so-called Cosmic-Scouse scene their 2004 debut All Years Leaving was lumped in with.

However, whilst Do It Like... is an accomplished stomp-along, the record is hardly revolutionary (and bears a certain resemblance to the Stones' The Last Time). The chorus is also unlikely to provide the break-through success the band covet.
