So, Sky's in jail for killing the con-artist medium Terrence, except it was actually his partner in crime (the fake doctor) Charlotte who killed him. Toadie's on the case but it is not looking good for the legendary Joe Mangel's daughter. The ridiculous, but compulsively addictive Neighbours storylines do actually have some impact on the music scene.
In recent years the scriptwriters have lost Holly Valance and Delta Goodrem to the pop world, both of whom made strong early impressions before fading into varying degrees of obscurity. On the basis of So Do I Say Sorry First, Stephanie McIntosh is destined to head straight for obscurity. Despite the best efforts of a strong songwriting team who have helped Kylie and All Saints to chart success McIntosh's second single is awfully bland.
The guitar-heavy track has the potential to be anthemic, but only with a stronger, or, at the very least, a slightly quirky voice. Someone like Avril Lavigne, or even a Kelly Clarkson could have rescued this but McIntosh's vocals are too clean and devoid of the emotion that the lyrics almost don't get across.
