Sting - Send Your Love

It seems that for each swathe of ball-grabbing, lip-synched, choreographed, tits-and-ass pop act which washes up week after week, a golden oldie decides to toss aside their Zimmer frame and clamber into the fray. Most recently we witnessed (Sir) Elton John hump it to top spot.

This month's veteran is Sting, who will be out in abundance on the back of his duet with Craig David with this single, followed promptly by his new album Sacred Love.

Despite Sting sporting that tedious portrait-perfect Neil Diamond / Barry Manilow chic, Send Your Love is pleasantly refreshing with its pacey Depeche Mode samba-dub crossover, plus the usual hushed love rhetoric. Not bad at all. I must be getting old...sigh.
