The Man Music Technology album from Stylophonic has made a lot of friends in the DJ world, but is yet to make a significant commercial impact. Perhaps Soulreply will change that, its infectious summery groove well suited to Balearic tastes.
With vocals that bear a passing resemblance to Basement Jaxx's Rendez-Vu, the track is a jaunty mid tempo house number, funked up by a neat bass line. I'd much rather hear this on the radio than some of the contemporary dance fodder that currently sits in the charts.
Remixes from the All Seeing I and Tom Middleton are definitely worth hearing, particularly the former which represents a return to form for the Beat Goes On combo.
