The faint ripples of the international Sunny Day Sets Fire are turning into waves. The band, hailing from corners of Italy, Canada, Honk Kong and the little UK, release their follow up to Brainless and Wilderness with End of the Road, a catchy and manic number, which is sure to get their name banded about even more.

The tinges of Supergrass and Flaming Lips influence justify the epic psychadelic pop labelling, but there's more of an indie folk hat being worn compared to the Arcade Fires of this world. End of the Road, with its solumn and lonely southern intro, soon gets the toes tapping with a bright, hum-along melody, country percussion and hand claps, ending with larger than life Tarantino guitar crazyness, which strangely fits quite well.

The one to look out for though is the beautiful B-side, Lack of View. Its fairy tale backing vocals wrap themselves around the main melody, crashing to its end with escalating piano and someone beating the hell out of a symbol, not forgetting the Sunny Day's tinkle of the toy keys, adding that festive touch for its Christmas release (probably not the best time for a new single, but what they hay).

End of the Road is maybe a little more mainstream than what has been before, but it also shouts that we shall be hearing a lot more of this band in 2008.
