This is definitely one of those tracks that sounds like it should have been released a lot earlier in the year, allowing those who have no doubt being getting very mashed to it on a Balearic island to relive those moments in drowsy old England on their return. Actually do "ver kids" even do this anymore? I believe it's all iPods, downloading and whatnot nowadays.

Whatever, what we have here is startlingly good. As a house tune it shimmers, as a crossover 'choon' it works properly, and the vocalist (who may just be affecting that Marleyesque vocal to show his 'roots') is ‘proper bo’. Probably a little too hard for the non-hands-in-the-air element of the holidaying nutter brigade, this may not do the business of Spiller's Groovejet or the Sun Is Shining remix, although it certainly deserves to. There are definite echoes of both these here. Although what the Eastenders drums are doing there as well is anyone's guess.

Incidentally is the singer really asking us the sun to "lick his head"? If he is, well, that's rather charming and makes me like it just a little more. This comes with all the usual remixes and is, unusually, none the worse for it.
