Journalists are currently sharpening their pencils (and their knives) in order to announce the return of the guitar and the death of pop - an event which surely requires parties in the street and free drinks at the bar. But pop is a resilient beast and is beginning to accept that if you can't beat 'em join 'em. Manufactured pop has adopted the guitar and last years Westlife rip-offs are now this year's Green Day imitators.

Given this single you can be forgiven for thinking Taking Back Sunday are such a band. This is American teen punk by numbers crammed full of MTV-friendly shouting: The video for this is bound to be either set in a high school or a skate park.

As far as this skate punk genre goes this is not without merit, however it simply fails to stand out from the crowd. It's a snappy track that does not outstay its welcome but the second it finishes it becomes forgotten and best filed under disposable manufactured punk-pop.
