With old-style country music having come to the fore through the implausibly enormous album sales of the O Brother Where Art Thou? soundtrack, The Be Good Tanyas continue to try to build on this platform with It's Not Happening, a full-on bluegrass affair from their Chinatown album.
The mandolin and ukulele are at the forefront, while Frazey Ford's vocal has the sort of languid feel that conjures up images of sticky summers in New Orleans.
I'm not sure about it as a choice of single but as a taster for the album, It's Not Happening is ideal.
